Ring Panel Air Filters - Section 12
Ring panel filters offer some distinct advantages over conventional frame filters. They consist of multiple plies of polyester media secured to a 9 gauge metal frame. Excellent dust holding capacity. Rated MERV 8 at 492 fpm. The filter fits snugly into filter opening and does not allow air bypass. One inch filter is constructed of two layers - a 3/4 inch polyester with internal tackification and a 1/4 inch dense polyester. The two inch filter consists of a layer of 1 1/2 inch two ply polyester with internal tackification and a 1/4 inch dense polyester downstream. Withstands moderate amounts of moisture without losing strength. Ring panel filters are sold in cases of 12.

Odor Relief filters combine the ability to help reduce particles such as dust, pollen, mold and animal dander with the added benefit of carbon for gas and odor removal. Odor Relief filters are excellent for removing odors from cigarettes, cigars, bathrooms, cooking, pets, mold and much more. This is the same carbon media used as a prefilter in high quality HEPA air purifiers. In the past few years there has been a movement toward deeper filters. Many systems have been developed with 4 inch and 5 inch filter boxes. The filters that are installed in these boxes have more surface area, lower pressure drop, high efficiencies and longer life. Unfortunately, if you did not have the right filter box, you could not obtain the advantages of the deeper filters. The new Practical Pleat is the answer. It is a 5 inch filter that fits in a standard one inch filter grille. The Practical Pleat gives you MERV 8 efficiency and has a pressure drop of just 0.12 wg. It will last 6 months or longer in most applications. Plus it is fully gasketed so there is no air bypass. This synthetic Mini-Pleat High Efficiency Filter uses the latest filtration technology to provide a very efficient, durable and long lasting filter. Much stronger than conventional filters. Gradient density media for maximum depth loading and longer life. Initial resistance for MERV 12 at 500 fpm 4-inch filters is 0.36 wg, 2-inch filters is 0.43 wg and 1-inch filters is 0.89 wg. For MERV 13 at 500 fpm the initial pressure drop is: for 4-inch filters - 0.45 wg, for 2-inch filters - 0.71 wg and for 1-inch - 1.50 wg. For MERV 14 at 500 fpm the initial pressure drop is: for 4-inch filters - 0.62 wg, for 2-inch filters - 0.81 wg and for 1-inch filters - 1.60 wg.
